Art Work > Travel Journals

I teach drawing and painting on location and in my studio. I can help you to see where you live anew, or prepare you for documenting the trip of a life time! Come and learn to really connect with the visual world!

Throughout the years landscape has been my primary source of inspiration. This selection of travel sketches and plein air paintings comes from my preferred way to document my trips. For me this traditional approach is more compelling than photography as I have to slow down and really engage in the environment. Observing elements and light first hand with a limited time heightens the experience as well as hones ones observational skills.
