Flower and Flame: Guardian of the Forest
Not long after I retired my studio and motorcycle were destoryed by an arsonist. Left with the destruction, I retrieved what materials I could. Some spoke to me with immediacy, while others whispered potential.
In 2024 a fellowship from the South Dakota Artist Fellowship gave me the resources to transform what fate had handed me. The exhibition Flower and Flame has traveled the state of South Dakota and been shown on two college campuses, Black Hills State University and Augustana University as well as the Dahl Art Center in Rapid City.
