Portfolio > Flower and Flame

In December of 2020, only 2 years after retiring an arsonist set fire to my studio and blew up my R1200RBMW motorcycle. It's been a long road to recovery with lots of support along the way. A Gottlieb Emergency Artists Grant helped me to replace my etching press, an Artist's Grant from the South Dakota Arts Council enabled me to devote time to create a body of work based upon my experience, and the South Dakota School of Mines, where I had devoted 19 years of my professional life granted me the first Art and Engineering Residence in their new program.
My exhibition Flower and Flame opened at the Dahl Art Center on September 12 will be on view through October 15, 2025.
The support through all of this has been amazing and this past week it was topped off by being interviewed by Wes Brown of Rapid City and Todd Pierson of Denver for the Tenet Podcast.
